This is a really relaxed yet vibrant place to eat where you certainly wouldn't mind bringing the kids, maybe after taking in the Northcote Road shops and market then following your meal you are a hop, skip and jump away from Clapham Common. Say Cafe is a modern funky restaurant with lime green chairs and an open terrace (be prepared for the noisy traffic but don't let that put you off).
The menu is ideal for children with a vast selection of pasta dishes and pizzas. I chose a beautifully creamy roasted Butternut Squash and Sage Risotto with Pine Kernels and Pecorina (£6.20). Grandma thoroughly recommends the Tagliatelle with Smoked Salmon (was that due to the vodka in it?!) with black pepper and cream (£7.45). The children tucked into their Mediterranean Vegetable Lasagne (£6.70) and Gnocchi Napolitana (£6.20).
Kids will love the ice cream served in a toy, which you get to take home! The Lemon Sorbet was wonderfully sharp and sweet at the same time.
Look out for the 'Kids Eating for Free' promotion coming soon. Highchairs available.
